Cheap aluminum flashing on steep roof.

This aluminum stack flashing with a rubber pipe collar was installed to replace the original lead pipe flashing. The roof pitch is much too steep for the "one size fits all" aluminum flashing. Notice how the lower edge is raised off the roof and had to be bent down and caulked to seal. The rubber collar is also warped/pulled away from the pipe and the space had to be sealed with extra caulk. The base flange of the flashing is also about two inches short all the way around compare to the original lead flashing.
